PORTLAND, Ore., Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Brandon Roy helped Portland dominate the final 16 minutes of the game Friday and the Trail Blazers pulled away for a 101-86 victory over New Orleans.
The surging Trail Blazers have won three in a row and remained unbeaten in seven home games this season.
New Orleans had a four-point lead with 3:45 to play in the third period, but Portland scored the final 12 points of the quarter and continued to pour it on in the fourth.
Roy scored 25 points and LaMarcus Aldridge had 17. The Trail Blazers made 62 percent of their two-point field goal attempts.
New Orleans, which had won four straight games, was led by Peja Stojakovic with 21 and Chris Paul with 16.
The Hornets went to the foul line only six times, 19 fewer than the Trail Blazers.
