CHESTNUT HILL, Mass., Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Redshirt freshman Dominique Davis threw two touchdown passes Saturday, sparking No. 22 Boston College to a 28-21 win over Maryland.
Davis, who led a game-winning drive over Wake Forest after BC starter Chris Crane suffered a broken collar bone last week, threw for 134 yards on 12-of-24 passing for Boston College (9-3, 5-3 ACC), which has four straight wins and will play Virginia Tech in the ACC championship game next Saturday.
Montel Harris rushed for 116 yards, and Rich Gunnell caught three passes for 78 yards and a touchdown for the Eagles.
Chris Turner had 360 passing yards on 33-of-57 passing. He threw for two touchdowns and ran for another, but was intercepted twice for Maryland (7-5, 4-4), which lost three of its final four regular season contests. Torrey Smith and Danny Oquendo each caught a touchdown pass with 115 and 111 receiving yards, respectively.
