The teams are 22-under 194 through 54 holes at the Mission Hills Golf Club in Shenzhen, China.

Green birdied No. 14, but Jones rolled in a six-foot eagle putt at 15 to forge the tie.

"It was a solid performance," Green said. "Brendan was there when I needed him and I would like to think I was there for him. It was a good, solid day and we are right in contention."

Sweden's Robert Karlsson and Henrik Stenson shot 6-under 66 and are alone in third place at 18-under 198, with Germany's Alex Cejka and Martin Kaymer (68) in fourth at 17-under 199.
