SAN ANTONIO, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- Tony Parker celebrated his return to the lineup with a 15-point performance Friday and San Antonio continued to show life with a 109-98 win over Memphis.
The Spurs had to play the early part of the season without both Parker and Manu Ginobili, who were originally expected to be out of action until mid-December.
Ginobili, however, returned last week and Parker came back Friday after missing nine games with a sprained ankle.
San Antonio has responded with four consecutive wins that have moved it three games over the .500 mark and into the thick of the chase for the Southwest Division lead.
Roger Mason scored 20 for San Antonio, Ginobili had 15 and both George Hill and Michael Finley had 12.
O.J. Mayo led Memphis with 32 points. The Grizzlies lost their fifth straight.
A three-pointer by Ginobili touched off a 14-4 run in the fourth period that decided the game.
