ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 28 (UPI) -- Micah Downs scored 17 points with 13 rebounds Thursday, helping 10th-ranked Gonzaga to an 83-71 win over Oklahoma State.

The victory came in the first round of college basketball's Old Spice Classic in suburban Orlando.

Gonzaga faced a 37-36 halftime deficit, but after Downs' three-pointer and two free throws, it built upon a 49-47 lead, one it would not relinquish.

Four other players, led by Jeremy Pargo's 15 points, seven assists and five rebounds, scored in double figures for the unbeaten Bulldogs (3-0).

Josh Heytvelt scored eight points and recorded three of Gonzaga's six blocked shots.

Terrel Harris led OSU with 17 points and eight rebounds.

Obi Muonelo scored 16 with 15 rebounds, while James Anderson added 14 points for the Cowboys (4-1), who lost their previous two contests against the Bulldogs by a combined five points.
