NBA: Orlando 105, Washington 90

WASHINGTON, Nov. 27 (UPI) -- Dwight Howard's 26 points and 14 rebounds Thursday led the Orlando Magic to a 105-90 rout of the Washington Wizards.

It gave the Magic a three-game winning streak.

Orlando began with a 38-25 first quarter, led 55-44 at the half, and by the time Mikael Pietrus sank a jumper, its lead had swollen to 88-65 with 11:30 remaining.

Hedo Turkoglu scored 20 with 10 rebounds and three assists, while Pietrus and Rashard Lewis scored 17 points apiece for the Magic, who have won in eight of their last nine outings.

Caron Butler led Washington with 25 points and six assists.

Antawn Jamison scored 17 with 12 rebounds, while Darius Songalia, the only other player in double figures, added 12 points in the Wizards' second game under Coach Ed Tapscott, who succeeded the fired Eddie Jordan on Monday.

The closest the Wizards came was 88-69 early in the fourth period.

They beat Golden State 124-100 in Tapscott's first game.
