NEW YORK, Nov. 27 (UPI) -- Taylor Griffin's two free throws started a game-closing 15-5 run Wednesday that carried No. 13 Oklahoma to a 77-67 win over Alabama-Birmingham.

The Sooners (5-0) reached the championship game of the NIT Season Tip-off, where they will meet No. 9 Purdue. The Blazers fell to 4-1.

Alabama-Birmingham owned a five-point halftime lead and the contest remained close throughout the second half.

Griffin went to the line with 4:36 to play and the game tied at 62-62. His two free throws were soon followed by a dunk from Austin Johnson and the Sooners pulled away down the stretch.
