
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 25 (UPI) -- Chris Paul finished with 14 points, 10 rebounds and 17 assists Monday night to lead the New Orleans Hornets past the Los Angeles Clippers 99-87.
David West had 27 points, Peja Stojakovic had 13 points and nine rebounds, and Tyson Chandler and Devin Brown each scored 11 for the Hornets, who also got eight points and nine rebounds from James Posey in their third straight win.
Rookie Eric Gordon led the Clippers with 25 point in his first NBA start. Marcus Camby finished with seven points and 11 rebounds, Baron Davis had 19 points, Chris Kaman scored 14 and Al Thornton had 12 for Clippers, who have lost three straight games and are off to a 2-12 start.
The Clippers were without the services of Zach Randolph and Mardy Collins, acquired last week in a trade with the New York Knicks. The team is awaiting the results of physical exams on both players.
