COL BKB: Davidson 78, Loyola-Maryland 48

DAVIDSON, N.C., Nov. 25 (UPI) -- Stephen Curry was held scoreless Tuesday but 25th-ranked Davidson still beat Loyola-Maryland, 78-48, in the NIT Season Tip-Off.

Curry went into Tuesday with nine straight games of 25 or more points and he was averaging 35 points this season, leading the nation. He also had scored in double figures in 69 straight games. But he missed his only three shots Tuesday in 32 minutes of court time.

Andrew Lovedale had 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Wildcats (5-1). Bryant Barr added 18 for Davidson.

Marquis Sullivan had 16 points for Loyola-Maryland (2-4).
