NHL: Minnesota 4, Washington 3

ST. PAUL, Minn., Nov. 24 (UPI) -- Cal Clutterbuck scored his first two NHL goals Monday to lead the Minnesota Wild to a 4-3 victory over Washington.

Marek Zidlicky and James Sheppard also scored for the Wild. Niklas Backstrom made 25 stops for the victory.

Matt Bradley, Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom scored late third-period goals for the Capitals, who nearly recovered from a 4-0 deficit but have lost three in a row and four of their last five.

Jose Theodore allowed four goals on 33 shots.
