Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

ATLANTA, Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Michael Turner ran for four touchdowns, three in the fourth quarter, and the Atlanta Falcons crushed the Carolina Panthers Sunday 45-28.
Turner totaled 117 yards rushing, scoring on runs of 1, 4, 1 and 16 yards.
Matt Ryan passed for 259 yards for the Falcons (7-4).
Atlanta rookie Harry Douglas ran a punt back 61 yards for a touchdown and also scored on a 7-yard run.
Carolina's Jake Delhomme completed 21-of-35 passes for 295 yards and a touchdown.
Steve Smith led the Panthers' receivers with eight catches for 168 yards and a touchdown. DeAngelo Williams ran for 101 yards and a score.
Carolina (8-3) had won its previous four games.
