COL BKB: Notre Dame 65, Loyola-Marymnt. 54

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 22 (UPI) -- Luke Harangody put on a show with 27 points and 17 rebounds Friday, pushing ninth-ranked Notre Dame past Loyola-Marymount 65-54.

Harangody made nine of 17 shots from the field and nine of 13 foul shots in helping the Fighting Irish hold off the winless Lions.

Notre Dame (2-0) held only a five-point lead inside the 7-minute mark, but Harangody made five points over a 2-minute span to help the Irish boost their advantage to 11.

Jarred DuBois led the Lions (0-4) with 16.
