DENVER, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- Miikka Kiprusoff had to stop just 18 shots Thursday in posting his second shutout of the season and carrying the Calgary Flames to a 1-0 win over Colorado.

The game's lone goal came from Daymond Langkow midway through the second period, bringing the Flames their third win in four games.

It was the 28th shutout of Kiprusoff's NHL career. He has two this season -- both against Colorado.

Peter Budaj made 32 saves for the Avalanche, losers of two in a row.

Langkow scored after grabbing a rebound from a slapshot by Mark Giordano.

Calgary and Colorado have met four times this season and the Flames have won them all.
