DALLAS, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- Dirk Nowitzki keyed a second-half surge Friday that led the Dallas Mavericks to their first home victory of the season -- 91-76 over Memphis.

The Mavericks struggled through the early weeks of the season, losing five in a row and falling into last place in their division. But they won three straight on the road before finally becoming the last team in the NBA this season to record a win at home.

Nowitzki scored 25 points and had 10 rebounds, helping Dallas expand a three-point halftime lead to 12 going into the fourth quarter. Jason Terry added 20 points and Jason Kidd had 18 points and 13 rebounds.

The Mavericks have beaten the Grizzlies 12 straight times.

Memphis was led by O.J. Mayo with 19.
