LOS ANGELES, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Roger Mason drained a three-pointer with 8.4 seconds left to play Monday night to give the San Antonio Spurs an 86-83 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.
Mason finished with 21 points. Tim Duncan had 20 points, 15 rebounds and four assists, and Michael Finley scored 19 for the Spurs, who won their third straight game.
Cuttino Mobley led LA with 18 points. Chris Kaman had 17 points and 13 rebounds, and Baron Davis had 11 points and eight assists for the Clippers, who lost their third straight -- and fell to 1-10 for the season.
The Spurs led 77-66 early in the fourth quarter, but the Clippers fought back with a three-pointer by Ricky Davis and a pair of threes by Baron Davis. Mobley hit a three to finish a 13-2 Clippers surge that tied the game at 83-83 with just over a minute to play.
Mason's three in the closing seconds put the Spurs ahead 86-83, and Baron Davis missed with a potential game-tying shot as time expired.
