James had his third 41-point effort so far this season in a Nov. 11 win over Milwaukee. He became the first player since Michael Jordan in 1991 to reach the 40-point plateau at least three times in his team's first eight games of the season.

Billups, an 11-year pro, averaged 21.5 points, 5.8 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.25 steals per game over four contests for the Nuggets in the week.

Denver has gone 5-1 since trading Allen Iverson to Detroit in exchange for Billups and two other players.
