GAINESVILLE, Fla., Nov. 16 (UPI) -- The 19th-ranked Florida Gators raced out to a 17-point halftime lead Sunday afternoon and trounced Bradley 81-58 at the 2008 O'Reilly Auto Parts CBE Classic.

UF trailed 18-13 when Bradley's Dodie Dunson sank a three-pointer with 8:04 left before halftime, but a 24-7 spurt led to a 42-25 advantage at the break, and Bradley offered mild resistance thereafter.

Florida was led by Dan Werner's 17 points and three rebounds. Walter Hodge also scored 17, while Nick Calathes compiled 13 points and seven rebounds and Chandler Parsons added four points and 10 rebounds in the Gators' second win to start the 2008-09 college basketball season.

They improved to 28-2 at home in November during the past five seasons.

Dunson led Bradley with 15 points, three rebounds and four assists. Chris Roberts compiled 13 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals, but no other player scored in double figures for the Braves (1-1), who beat Illinois-Chicago 67-61 Friday.
