Stanford leads in LPGA Ochoa tourney

GUADALAJARA, Mexico, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Angela Stanford shot only even- par 72 Saturday, but stayed in the lead after the third round of the LPGA Lorena Ochoa Invitational in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Stanford, the second-round leader, finished 54 holes at 10-under 206 and is one shot ahead of Swede Annika Sorenstam, who is likely in her second-to-last event on the LPGA Tour.

Sorenstam, who posted a five-under 67, is trying to get one more win before she calls it a career next week after the ADT Championship.

The tournament host, world No. 1 Lorena Ochoa, shot a 2-under 70 and moved into a tie for 13th place at 214.

Katherine Hull matched the tournament course record Saturday with a 66. She is alone in third at 208, one shot better than Jee Young Lee, who had a 69 in the third round.
