SUNRISE, Fla., Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Johan Franzen broke a tie with a power-play goal 4:40 into the third period Friday to give the Detroit Red Wings a 3-2 win over Florida.

The Red Wings won their eighth game on the road this season, tops in the NHL, with Ty Conklin making 25 saves.

In a 2-2 game, Jassen Cullimore was sent off for holding at 4:24 of the third. Detroit pounced on the opportunity when Franzen re-directed a shot by Niklas Kronwall past Tomas Vokoun.

Craig Anderson started in goal for Florida, having stopped 68 of 69 shots in two straight wins. But after letting in two goals in the game's first 22 minutes, Anderson was replaced by Vokoun.

Vokoun had been listed as doubtful because of back spasms.

Florida came back from a 2-0 deficit to tie it in the second on goals from Richard Zednik and Stephen Weiss.
