CORVALLIS, Ore., Nov. 15 (UPI) -- James Rodgers rushed for one touchdown and returned a kick 86 yards for another Saturday in Oregon State's 34-21 victory over California.
Rodgers younger brother Jacquizz Rodgers rushed for 144 yards on 27 carries with a touchdown.
The 25th-ranked Beavers (7-3, 6-1 Pac 10) have now posted five straight wins overall and six in a row against league foes, becoming bowl eligible for the eighth time in 10 years. Oregon State is tied with sixth-ranked USC atop the standings at 6-1, with the Beavers owning both a game in hand over the Trojans and the tie-breaker due to their 27-21 upset of USC previously this season.
Lyle Moevao connected on 14-of-28 pass attempts for 145 yards and James Rodgers led the team in receiving with six catches for 50 yards.
Jahvid Best rushed for 116 yards and a TD for the Bears (6-4, 4-3). Kevin Riley was 11-of-25 passing for 117 yards with a TD.
