CORAL GABLES, Fla., Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Dwayne Collins had 18 points and 16 rebounds Saturday to lead 16th-ranked Miami-Florida to a 96-60 victory over Florida Southern.

Jack McClinton also scored 18 points and backcourt mate Eddie Rios had 17 for the Hurricanes, who have won 16 straight season openers.

John Thompson was the lone player in double figures for Florida Southern (3-1) with 10 points. The Moccasins shot 28.4 percent from the field and were dominated on the glass by a 56-37 count.
