MIAMI, Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Dwyane Wade led the way with 24 points Friday and the Miami Heat used a quick start to sail past Washington 97-77.
The Wizards have won only one of their seven games this season.
Michael Beasley contributed 19 points for the Heat, Udonis Haslem had 13 and Shawn Marion 12.
Washington, coming off its first win of the year Wednesday against Utah, got 15 points and 10 rebounds from Antawn Jamison.
Miami stormed to a 49-36 halftime lead and Washington battled back to within six with 7:20 to play in the third period. The Wizards could make only a single free throw for the rest of the quarter.
