GAINESVILLE, Fla., Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Florida State safety Myron Rolle is going to try to do it all when his team plays Maryland, finishing his Rhodes Scholarship interview in time for the game.

The Rhodes interview is in Birmingham, Ala. on Nov. 22. But the NCAA, which oversees college athletics, has ruled that Florida State can charter a plane to fly Rolle to Maryland, CBS News reported.

Even if he misses the 7:45 p.m. kickoff, he is likely to be on the field for the second half.

The team could have told Rolle, a junior on an athletic scholarship, that he was obligated to show up for the game, however prestigious the Rhodes Scholarship might be. Rolle learned recently that he was a finalist for one of the scholarships set up by Cecil Rhodes that allow 32 U.S. college graduates to study at Oxford University for two years.

"It's not going to be difficult," Rolle said. "I love this sport and I'm committed to my team. I'm going to be focused when it's time to play football."

If Rolle is selected for a scholarship, he may have another tough decision to make. He is believed to be a good candidate for the NFL draft.

Rolle, from Galloway, N.J., graduated from the Hun School in Princeton.
