COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Eddie Gaven scored in the 55th minute Thursday to finish off a Columbus rally and put the Crew into the MLS title game with a 2-1 victory over Chicago.

Having captured the Eastern Conference title, Columbus will take on the winner of Saturday's Real Salt Lake-New York game in the MLS Cup. The championship game will be played Nov. 23 in Carson, Calif.

Brian McBride gave Chicago the lead at halftime but Chad Marshall tied it in the early moments of the second period.

The winning goal came thanks to a header by Alejandro Moreno from outside the penalty area that sailed over a defender and directly onto the foot of Gaven. He easily tapped the ball past out-of-position goaltender Jon Busch.
