
HENDERSON, Nev., Nov. 11 (UPI) -- Nick Price shot a 7-under 65 Tuesday to lead the Champions Tour trio to victory at the Wendy's Three-Tour Challenge.
This year's challenge was split into front and back nine matches at Rio Secco Golf Club.
Price had a 5-under 31 on the front side as the Champions Tour trio, which also included Fred Funk and Jay Haas, had an 11-under 97 total to win the front side by three strokes over the PGA Tour group of Kenny Perry, Rocco Mediate and Stewart Cink.
On the back nine, all three Champions Tour players shot 2-under 34s to win by a single stroke over both the PGA and LPGA Tours. The LPGA was represented by Helen Alfredsson, Natalie Gulbis and Cristie Kerr.
The Champions Tour team split $500,000 in earnings, while both the PGA and LPGA teams split $250,000.
