VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Goaltender Roberto Luongo recorded his fifth shutout this season Saturday night when the Vancouver Canucks skated to a 2-0 win over the Minnesota Wild.

It was Vancouver's third straight victory.

Luongo stopped all 29 shots he faced, and the only goal he would need was scored by defenseman Sami Salo on the power play at 13:36 of the first period after assists by Kevin Bieksa and Henrik Sedin.

Henrik also assisted on brother Daniel Sedin's fifth goal at 17:20 of the third.

Goalie Niklas Backstrom was beaten twice on 29 shots for the Wild, who have lost four of their last six games since starting the season with a 5

1 mark.

On the power play, Vancouver went 1-for-5, and the Wild failed to score on three man-advantage chances.
