NFL: Atlanta 34, New Orleans 20

ATLANTA, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Two touchdown passes by rookie quarterback Matt Ryan Sunday helped the Atlanta Falcons down the New Orleans Saints 34-20.

Overall, he completed 16-of-23 passes for 248 yards.

The scoring passes went to wide receiver Roddy White in the first quarter and running back Jerious Norwood in the fourth.

Norwood scored on a 67-yard pass play with 14:40 remaining and finished with two catches for 88 yards.

Fellow running back Michael Turner added 96 yards on 27 carries for the Falcons (6-3), who have won six of their first nine games for the first time since 2005. They are unbeaten in their four home contests to date.

New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees went 31-for-58 passing for 420 yards and two touchdowns, but had three intercepted.

Wide receiver Lance Moore scored once among his six receptions for 76 yards, while fellow wideout Marques Colston caught seven passes for 138 yards for the Saints (4-5), who dropped to 0-4 on the road.
