
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov. 8 (UPI) -- Derick Brassard's second-period goal was the game-winner Saturday night when the Columbus Blue Jackets beat Calgary 3-1 for their third straight win.
Brassard's sixth goal this season, following assists by Mike Commodore and Jan Hejda, broke a 1-1 deadlock at 2:57 of the second period.
Columbus also got goals from left wing Jason Chimera (unassisted in the first period) and center Manny Malhotra (unassisted in the third).
