Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov. 8 (UPI) -- Brad Evans and Robbie Rogers scored goals for Columbus Saturday to lead the Crew past Kansas City 2-0 and into the MLS Eastern Conference Final Series.
Columbus -- winner of the Supporters' Shield during the regular season -- ended up beating the Wizards 3-1 in the home-and-home total goals competition, to post its first playoff in since 2002.
The Crew and the Wizards had played to a 1-1 tie last Saturday in the series opener.
Columbus will play host to the Chicago Fire in the conference finals, with Game 1 set for Thursday.
Evans scored in the 7th minute and Rogers made it 2-0 just before the 60th minute.
