DENVER, Nov. 8 (UPI) -- Darcy Tucker scored and Peter Budaj posted his first shutout of the season Saturday night to lift the Colorado Avalanche to a 1-0 victory over Nashville.

Tucker scored his 200th NHL career goal -- and his third goal of the season -- with assists from T.J. Hensick and Ryan Smyth at 15:39 of the second.

Budaj stopped 26 shots for his sixth career shutout as the Avalanche snapped a five-game losing streak.

Dan Ellis finished with 19 saves for the Predators, who have lost three straight games.
