COL FB: Michigan State 21, Purdue 7

EAST LANSING, Mich., Nov. 8 (UPI) -- Javon Ringer rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns Saturday, sparking the 17th-ranked Michigan State Spartans to a 21-7 win over Purdue.

Ringer carried the ball 32 times as the Spartans (9-2, 6-1 Big Ten) got their third straight victory. Michigan State also had a 40-yard interception return for a touchdown by defensive back Johnny Adams.

Brian Hoyer passed for 154 yards with two interceptions for Michigan State.

Justin Siller passed for 83 yards with an interception and also ran for a touchdown for the Boilermakers (3-7, 1-5). Kory Sheets ran for 93 yards on 22 carries for Purdue, which suffered its sixth loss in its last seven games.
