JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Nov. 7 (UPI) -- Linebacker Mike Peterson returned to the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars Friday after being sent home by Coach Jack Del Rio two straight days for insubordination.
Del Rio had said Thursday night that a decision about Peterson's return would not be made until he met personally with the volatile 10-year veteran.
The meeting occurred Friday morning, but there was no immediate word if the Jaguars' defensive captain would play in Sunday contest against the Detroit Lions.
The Florida Times-Union reported that a team statement would be issued sometime this weekend.
Del Rio tossed Peterson out of a team meeting on Wednesday.
The newspaper reported earlier that Del Rio was upset with Peterson after he celebrated a sack in the third quarter of last Sunday's game against Cincinnati with the Jags facing a 21-3 deficit.
Neither man was available for comment Friday afternoon.
