
ATLANTA, Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Defenseman Tobias Enstrom scored the game-winner in a three-goal third period Thursday night when Atlanta rallied for a 4-3 win over the New York Islanders.
Enstrom's first goal this season broke a 3-3 deadlock at 11:29 of the final period and, with two assists, he recorded his first three-point contest this season.
Atlanta's Slava Kozlov scored twice. Jason Williams (power play) scored once.
Both Bryan Little and Todd White had two assists, while goalie Ondrej Pavelec was credited with 24 saves on 27 shots for the Thrashers, who have won two in a row following a six-game losing streak.
New York got a goal and an assist from both Frans Nielsen and Trent Hunter.
Jon Sim also scored once, and goalie Joey McDonald, playing in place the injured Rick DiPietro, was beaten four times on 27 shots in the Islanders' seventh loss in their last nine contests.
Atlanta's Mathieu Schneider (hip) also missed the game.
