NEW YORK, Nov. 5 (UPI) -- Rookie Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan won NFC offensive player of the week honors Wednesday for his play in a victory over Oakland.

Ryan completed 17-of-22 passes for 220 yards and two touchdowns, leading a 24-0 shutout of the Raiders.

Arizona safety Antrel Rolle was named defensive player of the week and Tampa Bay's Clifton Smith was the top special teams performer.

Rolle accounted for seven tackles and ran a pass interception back 40 yards for a touchdown in the Cardinals' 34-13 win over St. Louis.

Smith scored on a 97-yard kickoff return in Tampa Bay's 30-27 overtime victory over Kansas City.
