NAHA, N.Y., Nov. 5 (UPI) -- Jamal Crawford made two free throws with six seconds left Wednesday and New York survived a last-second shot to down Charlotte 101-98.

It was the first appearance in Madison Square Garden for new Charlotte Coach Larry Brown since he left the Knicks following the 2004-05 season.

New York took a 10-point lead early in the fourth quarter and held on behind 25 points from Zach Randolph and 24 from Nate Robinson.

Crawford's free throws were the final points of the game and New York held on when Charlotte's Jason Richardson missed a three-point attempt just before the buzzer.

The Bobcats were paced by Raymond Felton with 18 and Richardson with 17.
