PITTSBURGH, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had an MRI Tuesday to determine the extent of damage to his injured right shoulder.

Coach Mike Tomlin said he would await the results of the test before making a decision on Roethlisberger's status for the team's next game, against Indianapolis.

Roethlisberger injured his shoulder in the second quarter of the Steelers' 23-6 win over Washington Monday.

Byron Leftwich took over at quarterback and completed 7-of-9 passes for 129 yards and a touchdown.

Before he left the game, Roethlisberger ran for a touchdown and passed for only 50 yards.
