Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
SAN ANTONIO, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Dirk Nowitzki had 30 points and Jason Terry 29 Tuesday to lead the Dallas Mavericks to a 98-81 victory over the San Antonio Spurs.
Josh Howard had 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Mavericks, who have alternated wins and losses in their first four games of the season. Jason Kidd added nine points, 10 assists and eight rebounds.
Tony Parker had 22 points for the Spurs, who fell to 0-3 on the season -- their worst start since the 1973-74 season. Tim Duncan had 19 points and 15 rebounds and Roger Mason and George Hill scored 11 points each for San Antonio.
