HOUSTON, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub will miss the next few weeks after injuring a ligament in his left knee in Sunday's loss at Minnesota.
Sage Rosenfels, who replaced Schaub in the second half against the Vikings, will serve as starter for the 3-5 Texans this coming Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.
Schaub injured his knee when Vikings defensive end Jared Allen hit him on the first series Sunday. Schaub played through the injury in the first half, despite getting sacked three times. The fifth-season veteran completed 11-of-16 passes for 139 yards with an interception and a fumble.
Rosenfels completed 21-of-29 passes for 224 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in Houston's 28-21 loss to the Vikings.
Schaub has completed 67.8 percent of his passes this season for 1,762 yards with 10 touchdowns and eight interceptions, for a quarterback rating of 91.0.
