CHICAGO, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Chicago Bears quarterback Kyle Orton could be sidelined up to a month with an ankle injury, the Chicago Tribune reported Monday.

Orton was hurt late in the second quarter of a 27-23 win over the Detroit Lions Sunday. The newspaper said he suffered a high ankle sprain.

Rex Grossman replaced Orton.

Coach Lovie Smith did not go into detail on Orton's injury.

"He has an ankle injury and we'll let you know a little bit more later," Smith told reporters
