LOS ANGELES, Nov. 2 (UPI) -- Daymond Langkow scored the game-winner late in the third period Saturday night when the Calgary Flames recorded a 3-2 win over Los Angeles.

The center's second goal in the new season snapped a 2-2 deadlock at 16:23 of the final period, giving Calgary its sixth straight victory.

The Flames matched their longest winning streak from last season, when they rattled off six straight victories from Dec. 9-18.

Eric Nystrom and Adrian Aucoin (power play) also scored once, while goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff was beaten twice on 36 shots for the Flames, who survived a late barrage of Los Angeles scoring chances.

Center Oscar Moller scored both Los Angeles goals, one on the power play in the second period and the other following assists from Kyle Quincey and Alexander Frolov at 14:05 in the third.

Goalie Jason LaBarbera gave up three goals on 21 shots in the Kings' fourth straight loss.
