NFL: N.Y. Jets 26, Buffalo 17

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y., Nov. 2 (UPI) -- Jay Feeley's four field goals Sunday helped boost the New York Jets to a 26-17 victory against Buffalo.

He missed a fifth attempt, but added two extra points.

Jets quarterback Brett Favre completed 19-of-28 passes for 201 yards, no touchdowns and one interception.

Running back Thomas Jones ran for 69 yards on 12 carries.

The defense held Buffalo to a paltry 30 yards on 17 attempts, while safety Abram Elam scored on a 92-yard interception return on the final play in the first half in the Jets' second win in a row.

Sunday's victory pulled them into a tie with the Bills atop the AFC East Division.

Buffalo's Trent Edwards completing 24-of-35 passes for 289 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.

Running back Marshawn Lynch, suffering from flu-like symptoms, gained just 16 yards on nine carries, but added three catches for 52 yards.

The Bills have lost two straight.
