Kung bags LPGA trophy in South Korea

INCHEON, South Korea, Nov. 2 (UPI) -- Candie Kung fired a 3-under-par 69 Sunday, winning the LPGA's Hanka Bank-Kolon Championship in South Korea.

The victory was Kung's first on the tour in five years.

Kung's total of 6-under-par 210 brought her a check for $240,000.

"It's been a long time and I'm just so happy to be back in that winning circle again," Kung said. "I've been pretty close a few times this year and just happy to be back and finally get a win before the season ends."

Katherine Hull (69) placed second at 5-under 211.

Jee Young Lee (69), Sophie Gustafson (70), Jeong Jang (71) and Hee-Won Han (72) shared third, another shot back.
