ANAHEIM, Calif., Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Mattias Ohlund's goal brought an end to a 13-round shootout Friday and gave the Vancouver Canucks a bizarre 7-6 victory over Anaheim.

The Ducks had a five-game winning streak halted.

Vancouver scored five straight goals to take a 5-2 lead midway through the second period, only to have Anaheim produce three goals before the period was over to tie it.

The Canucks regained the lead on Steve Bernier's second goal of the night 8:34 into the third, but Anaheim forced overtime when Corey Perry scored on a tip-in with 57 seconds remaining in regulation.

After each side scored in the second round of the shootout, the penalty-shot marathon went on and on. Ohlund finally ended it by beating Jonas Hiller, who had dueled with Vancouver goaltender Roberto Luongo.

Hiller came on to replace Jean-Sebastien Giguere after the starting goaltender had allowed four goals on 13 shots.

Teemu Selanne scored twice for Anaheim but he failed to come through during the shootout's third round.
