PALM COAST, Fla., Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Michael Letzig birdied his final hole Saturday to post a 2-under 70 and take a one-stroke lead after three rounds of the Ginn sur Mer Classic in Florida.
Letzig finished 54 holes at 7-under 209.
Ryan Palmer reached 9-under, but bogeys at 15 and 16 dropped him into a tie with Letzig.
Palmer, in the last group, elected to hit a driver off the deck at the par-5 18th and pulled his shot into the water. He wound up with a bogey and a tie for second.
Palmer finished with an even-par 72 and is tied for second with Englishman Kenneth Ferrie (67) and John Huston (70) at 6-under 210.
Mark Wilson (67) and Ken Duke (72) share fifth at 211.
The second round was completed Saturday morning after darkness stopped action Friday. Saturday's conditions were windy.
