COL FB: Brigham Young 45, Colorado St. 42

FORT COLLINS, Colo., Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Max Hall threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to Dennis Pitta with 22 seconds left Saturday to give 17th-ranked BYU a 45-42 win over Colorado State.

Hall completed 28-of-37 passes for 389 yards, with five touchdowns and one interception for the Cougars (8-1, 4-1 MWC), who have won two games in a row since a 32-7 setback to TCU Oct. 16.

Harvey Unga rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown. Pitta had 175 yards and two touchdowns on 12 receptions, and Austin Collie caught nine passes for 156 yards and three touchdowns.

Billy Farris completed 19-of-36 passes for 270 yards and three touchdowns for the Rams (4-5, 2-3), who have lost three of their last four games. Dion Morton had 129 yards on six receptions with two touchdowns and Gartrell Johnson added a rushing touchdown for Colorado State.
