LOS ANGELES, Oct. 31 (UPI) -- Roberto Luongo made 28 saves Thursday to pick up his second shutout of the season and lift the Vancouver Canucks to a 4-0 win over Los Angeles.

It was the 40th shutout of Luongo's career. He had struggled on the road this season, allowing four goals per game away from home.

The Canucks had lost four of their previous five games.

Daniel Sedin scored the only goal Luongo needed 5:09 into the first period on the power play. Mason Raymond, Kyle Wellwood and Taylor Pyatt added goals for Vancouver, which has played seven of its last nine games on the road.

It was the second contest in a seven-game homestand for the Kings, who have lost three straight. Jason LaBarbera allowed the four goals on just 19 shots.
