Tommie Harris' wife dies

DENVER, Oct. 31 (UPI) -- Jan Hejda finished off a three-goal second period that gave Columbus a four-goal lead Thursday and the Blue Jackets went on to down Colorado 4-2.
Columbus ended a three-game losing streak and won for just the second time in 15 all-time trips to Denver.
The Blue Jackets took a 1-0 lead after the opening period, after which Jason Chimera, Andrew Murray and Hejda put Columbus in control.
After shutting Colorado out for almost two periods, Fredrik Norrena surrendered goals to Paul Stastny with 1:30 left in the second and to Tyler Arnason with 1:27 remaining in the third. Norrena made 30 saves.
Colorado has lost two in a row after winning five straight.
