Tommie Harris' wife dies

DALLAS, Oct. 29 (UPI) -- Brad Richards had a goal and an assist Wednesday, carrying Dallas to a 4-2 win over Minnesota -- the Wild's first regulation loss this season.
Brenden Morrow, Matt Niskanen and Steve Ott also scored for the Stars, who have won two of their last three. Morrow's goal came just 13 seconds into the game.
Tobias Stephan made the second start of his NHL career and his 19 saves brought him his first career victory.
Minnesota (6-1-1) has lost nine straight games in Dallas since a 3-2 overtime victory in March 2003.
Niklas Backstrom, who had played every minute this year for the Wild, was removed after allowing three goals on 13 shots in the first period. Josh Harding came on to stop 19 of 20 shots.
