Brees, Kiwanuka, Moss win NFC honors

NEW YORK, Oct. 29 (UPI) -- The NFL Wednesday named New Orleans' Drew Brees, Mathias Kiwanuka of the New York Giants and the Washington Redskins' Santana Moss NFC players of the week.

Brees passed for 339 yards and three touchdowns in the Saints' 37-32 win over San Diego to take offensive honors. The game, latest in the NFL's international showcase program, was played in London.

Kiwanuka was chosen as top defensive player for his three sacks and forced fumble in the Giants' 21-14 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Moss got the special teams award. The veteran wide receiver-punt returner ran a punt back 80 yards for a touchdown in Washington's 25-17 win at Detroit.
