SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 26 (UPI) -- Seattle took an early 6-0 lead on two Olindo Mare field goals Sunday and went on to sail past the San Francisco 49ers 34-13.
Leonard Weaver caught 43- and 62-yard touchdown passes, and Josh Wilson ran an interception back 75 yards for another score for the Seahawks (2-5), who had lost their previous three games.
Mare booted first-quarter field goals of 43 and 42 yards, the latter following Seattle's recovery of a fumble by San Francisco quarterback J.T. O'Sullivan.
O'Sullivan also threw an interception in the 49ers' fifth straight defeat. He finished with 13 completions for 131 yards before being replaced by Shaun Hill, who was 15-of-23 for 173 yards and a touchdown.
Frank Gore ran for 94 yards and caught seven passes for another 65 yards for the 49ers (2-6).
The game marked the debut of San Francisco Coach Mike Singletary, who took over after Dick Nolan was fired Monday.
